I’ve been living on Maui since 1980. I’ve been playing the harp since 1992, when I built my first small harp from a kit. My main harp these days is a walnut Triplett Eclipse, a “lever” harp with 38 strings. I also play the Celtic wire strung harp (a Triplett 30-string ) with its bell-like sound. I also have a smaller, more portable Dusty Strings harp which can be used for hospital visits, etc.
For large or noisy locations, I can provide battery-powered amplification for any of my harps, at no additional cost.
I also play several other instruments, such as concertina, steel guitar, banjo, and ukulele. I’ve played with the groups Tropical Harps, Upcountry Celtic, and Lei Aloha.

I am a graduate of the University of Hawai‘i Maui College Institute for Hawaiian Music, receiving an Academic Subject Certificate (A.S.C) in Hawaiian Music in May 2018.
